Paramedic Associates provides responsive, in-home care on behalf of general practices, primary health organisations (PHOs), private specialists, and other community health
providers.
Our experienced team of paramedics and registered nurses can provide home visits to undertake comprehensive clinical and social assessments. We can provide a wide range of care according to patient need and requirements of the referring clinician, including wound care, urgent catheter care, blood collection, ECGs, and urgent treatment of common medical conditions, including administration of prescription medications.
Our service is flexible and can be tailored to the needs of each patient and the requirements of the referring clinician. This may include assessing a person’s ability to manage at home, and providing in-home assessment and clinical care during an acute illness. We can also deliver defined packages of care in the home, including iron and zoledronic acid (Aclasta) infusions, IV infusions for complex regional pain syndrome, and IV therapies provided as part of supportive cancer care.
We liaise closely with the referring clinician to ensure continuity of care. Where required, we can arrange prescriptions, laboratory testing, imaging, and coordinate care with other
providers.
If you need urgent medical care and are unable to get a GP appointment or cannot travel to a medical centre, Paramedic Associates can provide care to you in the comfort of your own home or hotel room.
Examples of conditions we can provide in-home treatment for include:
Where required, our team can arrange blood tests and x-rays, and make referrals to other health services. As a registered ACC provider, Paramedic Associates can lodge ACC claims on your behalf and provide subsidised ACC-related treatment.
Please note: our services are privately funded, with home consultation visits from $150.
